Your wedding day should be one of the happiest days of your life, and one you’ll want to cherish forever. The right photos are the perfect way to preserve those important memories. Finding the right photographer can really add to the stress of creating the perfect day. Having found yourself here means that stress is quite simply non-existent.
Let us take care of everything. We’ll meet both bride and groom in advance, to get to know one another and to discuss your wants and needs. A few ‘dry runs’ and a mini photo session help to generate plenty of ideas. A visit to the wedding venue or venues, working closely with the vicar or staff to make sure they are happy with our approach is particularly important, especially for church weddings with possible restrictions.
You’ll be kept up to date with any developments, including watching the weather forecast – but that’s the only thing we can’t control.

If a picture paints a thousand words, then Dawn’s photography is the complete novel!
When you meet Dawn, you soon realise that photography means more to her than just taking pictures; whether it’s digital or more conventional photography, her camera becomes an extension of her special ability to give clients more than just simply an image. With her unique blend of artistic flair and knowing just what is achievable, the finished product will exceed your expectations.
Dawn grew up in the cosmopolitan and architecturally diverse city of Bristol and then lived for a short time in Morcombelake before moving to the historic market town of Bridport: bustling and vibrant during market days, but relaxed and inviting at other times; Bridport offers plenty of street scene photographic opportunities where Dawn’s love of photography first began.
Whilst Dawn was lured into the working world with enticements of financial reward, she never gave up on her creative passion for photography and it was after several years on the office treadmill whilst working for East Devon District Council and West Dorset Council, that Dawn took a leap of faith and launched into a whole new world, rather appropriately, on 14 February 2011. It was a day she will forever look back on as being the pivotal moment in time when her dream was realised; with a growing reputation for producing outstanding photographic work, it wasn’t long before she was receiving large numbers of recommendations as a wedding and event photographer.
Dawn’s earlier studies in both Art and Graphic Design were complemented with a Visual Arts course at Weymouth College, achieving Distinction in her City & Guilds Photography in 1992 and Photography ‘A’ Level in 1996. During this time she learned about the history of photography and how the advent of photographs changed the lives of so many people.
It is the power of photography and Dawn’s desire to ‘tell a story’ that fires her imagination each time she looks through the camera lens. Her studies also gave her an invaluable insight into the benefits of certain cameras and how one camera will work better than another dependent on the occasion and environment. Dawn works with several different types of camera, both digital and conventional.
A member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, Dawn plans to join the prestigious Royal Photographic Society during 2012.
